Wondrous item
This small burlap bag bears a stylized rabbit head pressed into its coarse fabric. Though it appears empty, anyone holding the bag gets the distinct impression that some small, lumpy object rests at the bottom of its folds
Once per long rest, you can use an action to reach into the bag and retrieve its contents. As part of that action you can also throw what you retrieve up to 20 feet. You determine by rolling a d6 and consulting the following table what emerges in your grasp.
1-2 You retrieve 3 purple carrots. They are edible, crunchy, pleasantly sweet, and function in much the same way as berries obtained via the Goodberry spell. A creature can use its action to eat one purple carrot, restoring 1 hit point and providing enough nourishment to sustain a creature for one day. The carrots do have a longer shelf-life of 72 hours before losing their magical potency (though not their crunch).
3-4 You pull out a normal (but purple!) bunny, using the statblock in appendix B.
5-6 You pull out the Purple Peril!
As an object interaction, if you put a purple carrot into the bag before reaching into it, instead roll a d4.

Purple Peril:
The violet pelt of this little bunny rabbit is not its most surprising characteristic. Rather, what draws your attention is the murderous intent in its beady red eyes, not to mention the dried blood caking its whiskers, mouth, and forepaws. Though this creature is most definitely friend-shaped, and the fuzziness of its fur begs to be petted, its fearsome countenance is enough to sow dread in even the stoutest of hearts. Fortunately for you, this creature appears grateful to you for setting it free, and ready to unleash its wrath on your enemies.
The Purple Peril is friendly to you and your allies and acts on your turn. You can use a bonus action to command how the lethal lagomorph moves and what action it takes on its next turn, or to give it general orders, such as to attack your enemies. In the absence of such orders, the creature acts in a fashion appropriate to its murderous nature.
Unfortunately, the Purple Peril has a short memory. He will run away and disappear in a puff of purple smoke after 1 minute unless given a purple carrot retrieved from the Bag of Bunnies, which will cause him to stick around for an additional minute.
